“Power didn’t bring happiness. It brought pain.” – Gorilla Grodd
This weak brought about a lot of great things and a few minor issues. The return of Grodd of course was as exciting as ever, and the added twist of his redemption was really fun to see. Watching Flash and Grodd quite literally join forces to fight Solovar was visually impressive, though Grodd looked to be enjoying that Speed Force power a little bit too much. Maybe we haven’t seen the last of his dark dealings. Pied Piper made an upgraded return, ensuring that he’ll most likely be back in a bigger way later on. With new recruits Chester and Kamela taking Cisco and Caitlin’s spot, the show started to feel more like it’s early days again when Barry was the only powered hero. On top of all that, we also got two big reveals with Eva for sure being a villain and the return of the Reverse-Flash. Throughout it all though, I couldn’t help but still feel like the show is simply juggling too much right now. Mirror Master, Black Hole, and now Reverse-Flash are all in play, and I’m hoping that they all three collide in some shape or form by the end of season.
